have you ever...

...seen a hummingbird nest? I have been watching hummingbirds out of my kitchen window for the past couple of weeks. (It's amazing the things you begin to notice when you slow down a bit.) They like to land on my tomato cages. They sit so still. Did you know that hummingbirds have really teeny tiny long tongues? Well, they do. Anyway, Dave bought me a hummingbird feeder for mother's day and I have birds around all day. I love it. The other day I noticed a little tiny blob of something wedged in one of our torch lights outside. When I looked at it more closely, I realized it was a nest. A tiny nest with an even tinier egg inside! I have been fascinated by these amazing birds and tried to snap a few photos of these delightful little creatures.

I love hummingbirds! They are so fun to watch. We get one in our back yard every once in awhile. That nest is very cool.

wow, no I don't think i've seen a hummingbird nest before. If I was a hummingbird that would be quite the setup. Sturdy house, great view, nice shade, feeder near-by, good school system and great neighbors!
